Smart Voice Assistant Showcase Hackathon By Amazon In Malaysia - En Jawaraspeed

The Amazon Echo is one of the most innovative product releases of 2016.

It is a voice-activated smart speaker that responds to the command, 'Alexa.' Consumers can use the Alexa assistant without installing any additional apps or hardware.

It is also Bluetooth-enabled, which allows users to connect it to other devices through their smartphones.

Essentially, the Echo can do much more than just play music; it can provide information, control devices and even make phone calls.

Now that consumers are able to connect their own devices to the Echo and use it for various purposes, it should be regulated similarly to smartphones and tablets.

In 2017, Australia became the first country in the world to regulate digital assistants like Siri and Google Home.

The laws dictate how digital assistants should respond to commands and which brands can manufacture them.

Each state also has its own laws governing how digital assistants should respond to different commands- such as emergencies or search filters.

Consumers need regulations like these in place so that these devices cause no accidents or harm.

The Amazon Echo is a cylindric speaker with a light blue ring around its outer edge and two curling antennae on top.

The light blue ring serves as an indicator to the user that the device is active.

When it is turned on, the ring will flash yellow-white.

It also has seven LED lights underneath it that provide status updates and visual cues for the user.

For example: when the user asks for a weather report, the lights will indicate the temperature and precipitation levels.

Additionally, if someone shouts 'Alexa,' all seven LED lights will simultaneously flash green in response.

THE MALAYSIA HACKATHON SHOWCASED HOW ONE CAN MAKE THE ECHO SMARTER BY MAKING IT SPEAK LOCAL LANGUAGES.

In order to do this, developers used a software platform called 'Alexa.' University students from Malaysia developed an extension for this software that enhances the speech capabilities of the Echo in their native language.

This allowed them to add new features to Alexa without having to understand English.

For example, if students wanted to give their device instructions in Malay, they could do so using this software platform.

Essentially, this project demonstrated how different developers are using the latest technology to create innovative smart speakers with local language support.

THE WORLD IS QUICKLY BECOMING AWARE OF HOW USEFUL VOICE-ACTIVATED SMART SPEAKERS CAN BE IN DAILY LIFE.

These devices are not only fun but also helpful in many ways - from making phone calls to providing information about the weather or local businesses.

Plus, they're now accessible even outside of Amazon's physical stores thanks to online shopping capabilities and home delivery services.

The possibilities are endless!
