The following factors should be considered during a usability testing:

1) SELECTION PROCESS - THE EXPERT SHOULD CAREFULLY SELECT PARTICIPANTS FOR THIS PROJECT BASED ON THE EXPERIENCE LEVEL AND APPLICATION FIELD.

Participants should be between 18 years old and 60 years old with different educational backgrounds such as college students, computer programmers and engineers and businessmen.

Each participant should represent a different gender with at least two females and two males.

The participants should be from different geographical areas such as rural areas, urban areas and universities.

Participants must be blind-folded when using digital products for this experiment.

BASED ON STUDIES ABOUT USABILITY TESTING RESULTS CONDUCTED BY EXPERTS IN THIS FIELD OVER SEVERAL DECADES, HERE ARE SOME RECOMMENDATIONS FOR DESIGNERS: 1) ALWAYS CONDUCT USER TESTING BEFORE DEVELOPING APPLICATIONS SO YOU CAN IDENTIFY POSSIBLE ISSUES WITH USERS' UNDERSTANDING OF FUNCTIONS; 2) MAKE SURE YOUR USERS KNOW HOW TO USE YOUR APPLICATION PROPERLY BEFORE RUNNING TESTS; 3) DEVELOP CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS SO YOUR USERS CAN EASILY UNDERSTAND THEM; 4) RUN EFFICIENT TESTS SO YOU CAN FOCUS ON FIXING ANY ISSUES YOUR USERS HAVE WITH YOUR DESIGN RATHER THAN SLOWING DOWN YOUR PROCESS; 5) ALWAYS PROVIDE FEEDBACK SESSIONS AFTER TESTING SO YOU CAN HELP YOUR USERS FIX ANY PROBLEMS THEY HAVE WITH YOUR DESIGN; 6) MAKE SURE YOUR FEEDBACK SESSIONS ARE EFFICIENT SO YOU CAN SPEND ENOUGH TIME WITH EACH USER GOING OVER ALL OF YOUR INSTRUCTIONS AGAIN; AND 7) FOLLOW UP WITH YOUR PARTICIPANTS AFTER TESTING SO YOU CAN COACH THEM ON USING YOUR DESIGN EFFECTIVELY FOR FUTURE USE CASES THAT YOU ARE NOT AWARE OF YET.

The use of computers became a part of our daily life in the twentieth century.

As a result, the concept of usability has gained more importance in the recent years.

In addition, usability testing is a method used to evaluate the usability of a computer software, hardware or any other digital product.

Basically, it is to test how easy or difficult a concept, methodology or system is to understand and use.

Basically, it's an experiment to assess how easily people can learn and use an application or device.

3) Running tests - after selecting participants, setting up testing conditions and instructing them about applying instructions, the expert starts running tests on them.

First, he runs a design audit test on each participant to ensure that he knows how to use an instrument properly before starting tests.

After confirming no errors exist in each participant's knowledge base, he begins running tests on each participant individually.

First, he runs a pre-test on each participant to check whether he has sufficient knowledge in applying instructions before starting tests (i- audit test).

Second, he runs a test on each participant individually (i- test) while monitoring his reaction time (reaction time).

Finally, he assesses each participant's performance and explains any errors made by each one individually (i- feedback session).

First of all, usability testing should be an independent and objective research design.

It should be conducted by an expert who knows how to handle the instrument properly and can explain its details clearly.

The expert should have expertise in different application fields such as human resources management, medical and healthcare, financial or banking, transportation or manufacturing management.

He/she must have enough experience in teaching application fields to new users.

In addition, the expert should have enough knowledge in various teaching methods and technology platforms as well as experience in teaching new users how to use digital products efficiently.

2) Applying instructions - during the application process, the expert should carefully explain each step to participants.

Participants should listen carefully and follow his instructions to ensure that they can learn quickly and effectively.

Each step should be explained clearly before participants perform the task to reduce misunderstanding and error correction time.

Participants must also have enough time to apply all the instructions before starting the test.
